How Payments Work

When you place an order through SmartTix, the payment process involves a sophisticated, multi-step sequence that occurs within seconds — all designed to safeguard your financial data.

Data Encryption

Your payment begins with strong encryption. As you enter your credit or debit card details, your web browser uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology to encrypt the data, ensuring it cannot be intercepted.

Secure Transmission

This encrypted information is securely transmitted to Stripe’s payment gateway via an SSL connection.

Payment Processing

Stripe forwards the transaction to your card network (e.g., Visa, Mastercard) and then to your issuing bank for authorisation.

Authorisation & Response

Your bank verifies the transaction and returns an approval or decline response based on your available funds, card validity, and fraud checks.

Confirmation & Fulfilment

Once authorised, Stripe communicates the approval back to SmartTix. Your payment is completed, and we proceed with fulfilling your order (such as issuing digital tickets).
